日本事情を初めて学ぶ留学生を対象とした授業の最初のフィールド学習に、カラヌスが貢献しました。留学生はカラヌスに乗船し、小豆島への道中、瀬戸内海の景観を満喫しました。お天気に恵まれ、海上は風もなく穏やかで順調でした。
小豆島ではマルキン醤油記念館を見学し、日本の食文化には欠かせない醤油の製法を体験的に学びました。

Using Calanus III, a research boat owned by Kagawa University Seto Inland Sea Regional Research Center, international students, who have been staying in Kagawa to learn about Japan, participated in their first field trip. While on the research boat to Shodoshima Island, they learned distinctive features of the Seto Inland Sea. It was an ideal day with calm wind and no waves. On Shodoshima, they visited Marukin Soy Sauce Museum to learn about the local industries on the island.
